Ruth, no more suffering from that terrible disease, lung cancer. The angels have taken you to heaven, where you now have total peace and joy. Many prayers for your family that they may also find peace now that you have no more pain, and have arrived at final heavenly destination.

Ruth and I were best of friends all through JH and HS.  We were each others' dates many times for our high school reunions.  I was fortunate to have a conversation with Ruth before she died as weak as she was.  Bless her sister Iris that kept me informed of her failing health to the end.  God Bless them all.  Ruth will be missed.  RIP

May the Lord bless and comfort those you've left behind.  I'm glad we had time to reminisce about the old neighborhood at the reunion.  Rest in peace Ruth.

So sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. I know she is in a better place. Prayers to her as well as to her family. Always enjoyed talking with her at our reunions. Even thru high school she always seemed to have a smile on her face. May God treat you well, Ruth!

So very sorry to hear about Ruth's passing.  The first house Gail and I lived in was directly across the street from the house Ruth grew up in.  Her brother Ted had purchased the house and raised his family in the very same home. It was on the same block where Kathy Sowders also grew up.  I played football with her brother Bill at Lowrey and I always sought out Ruth at the reunions to get updated about her and the rest of the family.  She was always such a kind and considerate person and I received the news of her death with a heavy heart.  It is good to see the many comments posted about this event which shows the strong sense of community that continues to survive after the passing of half a century of time since we were in those "hallowed halls".

I am certain Ruth's spirit resides in the warmth and light of our all loving Father and his son Jesus Christ.
