FRANCES A. "FRAN" REASON, age 64 of Manitou Beach, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, in Adrian. She left this world surrounded by her loving family and friends. Fran was born on September 24, 1949, in Detroit, MI to William E. and Flora J. (Hall) Boggs. She lived her early life in Dearborn Heights, MI, and then in the Manitou Beach area since 1980. She graduated from Lowrey High School in Detroit in 1967. She then attended Monroe Community College. Fran was employed at Madison High School as a Paraprofessional. Her greatest love was Michigan International Speedway. There was no place in this world she would have rather been than there. She worked there first as a test driver and then a foreman during it's auto testing program. She was the first female to take racing lessons at Michigan International Speedway in 1969. She worked in the hospitality-entertainment area at the speedway. She loved NASCAR and she enjoyed video games. Fran is survived by two daughters; Donna (Mike) Green of Cement City, Karen (Salomon) Zamudio of Morenci, one son; Jacob Reason of Napoleon, four grandchildren; Andrew Green, Makayla Green, Julian Zamudio, Alexandria Zamudio, two sisters; Gloria Golden of Taylor, Patricia (David) Gretka of Dearborn Heights, several nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son; Justin Dickerson. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Madison High School, in Adrian on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison.
