Sharon McWhorter VIEW PROFILE

Sharon McWhorter

Sharon passed away on February 1, 1969.

From her younger cousin who remembered her in 2018:

Sharon McWhorter was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.  She was the daughter of Virgil and Gladys McWhorter, and the granddaughter of Luther and Lela McWhorter of Cunningham, Tennessee.  Sharon is remembered as a beautiful, intelligent young lady, full of life and love for her family.  I remember my older cousin when we were little kids as always taking the lead, such as the time her brother and I were afraid to eat a Pia’s pizza.  The pizza was round and smelled funny, and you do not eat round, funny smelling food.  She ate the first slice, which let us know it was ok to eat, and so we did.   Silly memory I know.  Sharon was a wonderful person, and would have made a great wife, mother, grandmother, and perhaps even a great grandmother.  She would have had a great life, and could have succeeded in any goal she wished to achieve.  Sadly, she passed away at a young age, still in her teens, and was not allowed to fulfill any of these life goals.  She is now at peace in the arms of her savior and will always be remembered.
