Bill Mann

I'm very sorry to hear of Roys passing he is the first guy i met when my family moved to dearborn twp in feb of 1956 he had a very nice family and we were always hanging out but we never got into any trouble during  our christmas vacation in 1958 we decided to shovel snow after a big snowstorm we worked ourselves to a frenzy and we were totally exhausted the temp must of been near zero we only did 1 or 2 houses with a big driveways and we had to give it up so much for makeing a lot of money we made less than 6 dollars.I ran into his brother  Billy at camp pendelton as we were in different units and we passed each other up after reaching recon hill at camp horno in 1969 we talked briefly and we were surprised to see each other. Roy was a great guy  and had  3 brothers Billy being the youngest.My condolenses to his wife and family .best regards-bill mann

Hi Steve-I'm glad to see that you are home and on your way to a full recovery,seems like the entire class of 67 must have been praying for you including myself.I remember the 1st time I met you as we were in district 7 little league and I was on 2nd base and you were playing 3rd base and I tried to steal 3rd but was called out my manager got mad and got into a big argument with the home plate ump who called me out 90' from home plate too bad they couldn't review that play but the ump must of been angel Hernandez or joe west or jim Joyce but I was out but I didn't say anything but I had a lot of fun and I"m sure you did.
